metro madness
February 19th, 2003
So, today I walked down the street to Metro. I passed by the Burger King, car wash, 2000 different dry cleaners, random furniture place, and the "Video Mart". Everything was going well.
It was slippery with all the snow and stuff, but all was well. I took the escalator down, swiped my card, got to the platform, and...
WOW! THE PLACE IS PACKED!
... So many people. The place was filled, you could barely move, whatever...
Apparently, the Metro is on some emergency snow delay sort of thing. They are only running trains every 30 minutes or so.
I was lucky, the train showed 5 minutes after I got there. The train was packed, even worse than the platform (every car looked like a eight pack of Oscar Meyer wieners in their little shrink wrapped plastic packages).
When The train finally stoped, I was right there in front of the doors, they opened, and I was ready to get in. I then heard the funniest thing I ever heard on the Metro. "THERE'S NO ROOM!" screamed out at the top of this womens voice.
I was standing there with some dude, who started pushing everybody further into the car, with no concern for the poor screaming women...
The people getting into the car started saying "there's always more room", "I paid $1.10 just like everyone else", and who knows what else. To make a long story short we fit five more folks into that car, as the women starts screaming, "OH IT HURTS!". But it was too late. We were already on board, and we ain't movin'!
It turns out this lady was reading a book and needed enough room for her book (f#*! you lady!, I'm not standing around for 30 minutes so you can read a book B*]^@#!) she was not really hurt.
She...
...That's it.
Ha! I bet you thought I would continue the story, but NOT!
I'm hungry and tired.
sleep is good......
