free computer
April 27th, 2003
I've had this old computer sitting in my closet for 5 years. Here are the specs:
- Pentium 150
- 64 Mb of ram
- 1 gig hard drive
- Windows '98
- 24x CD rom
- 3.5" floppy drive
- Sound Card (with software)
- Internal 56k modem (with software)
- Keyboard included (no mouse)
- Power and printer cables included
In other words a piece of crap.
I put up a sign in the laundry room offering it up for FREE to the first person who wanted it. Along with the FREE machine I also offered up a FREE printer. It only took 3 hours for somebody to call and come pick it up.
bye bye doorstop, I mean... computer
I guess there is always someone who will take something for free, no matter how worthless the offer.

this reminds me that i still have one of those two random laptops that mom had sitting around the house a long time ago. i say a long time ago, because she gave it to me to use my senior year in college ('97-'98) for a class that required PC access. i remember it being a ...doorstop then as well. do you think it's worth posting it on ebay? it has the enormous detachable cd-rom drive below the CPU part. it's huge!!!
i also have that canon portable printer you gave me. i haven't tried it, but i think i'll try selling it, too. what do you think?
