TiVo HMO timeline
April 20th, 2003
11:20 a.m. decide to order the HMO
11:21 a.m. read the TiVo Community Forums
11:29 a.m. log into TiVo manage account
11:32 a.m. order for the HMO complete
12:38 p.m. TiVo downloads version 4.0 (less than 5 minutes over broadband)
12:42 p.m. restart TiVo
12:48 p.m. TiVo says "Updating database. This will take a long time."
12:54 p.m. TiVo is restarted and version 4.0 is active (only 6 minutes later)
12:58 p.m. network connections are set up and confirmed to be working
12:58 p.m. - 04:28 p.m. pressing make daily call over and over and over
04:28 p.m. Home Media Option is up and running. Pretty sweet!

You could write Tivo manuals that people actually understand. I, for one, don't even know how to plug it in!
