Coolness Factor = 10
June 18th, 2003
The SLIMP3 music interface (Slim-'pE-'thrE) has to make you drool when you think of the coolness factor. This puppy (technically a network music player) will plug into your home network and allow you play your mp3s through your stereo. The box is small so you can put it by your bedside or on a bookshelf, and operates via remote control. All you need to do is plug it in and configure it to see your mp3 server. With OS X the little machine will read your iTunes database so you can still keep all your music in one place, while iTunes does all the hard work of organizing those files for you. The machine also has a web interface so you can control the player and manage your playlists from your favorite web browser.
Now, all I have to do is get a home ethernet network set up, get a router to let my wireless network interact with it, and get a nice machine to act as my mp3 server. That should be pretty easy.

You completely lost me on this one. I don't even know what an mp3 is!
are you on the take from these guys? it sounds like quite the endorsemetn from someone who doesn't have it all the way set up yet. hmmm...
by the way, is "10" high or low on the scale? and what is the highest rating? it's hard to put this in perspective without the rating context... you're lucky i like you or i might not stand for such shoddy reportsmanship.
