Holy Whoopi Goldberg Batman

Where am I? I got up this morning and I was dog tired. I blame myself, because after the long flight home from San Diego last night, I decided to keep myself up late trying to catch up on TiVo. When I finally got outside it was unbearably hot and humid, so instead of taking the usual walk down to the Metró, I thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and spring the $10 for a nice air conditioned cab ride to work.

Well, I did not get the A/C I had hoped for (cheap cabbies trying to save a buck on gas), but I did get this rather confused look on my face when I saw this starring back at me. Am I in New York, or DC??? There is a DC zone map in a NY cab, in DC! The cab was full of NY gear; driver of unrecognizable national origin, ballistic plastic shield between the front and back seats, and a meter (no it didn't speak in Whoopi Goldberg's Voice). This was not the confusion I needed at 5:00 (oops still on CA time) 8:00 in the morning.

    I bet Whoopi would never have gotten in a cab without AC.

    Maybe you can complain and get a refund.
