take on the man

Since moving into the city I have always wanted a pet, but my condo has this rule against cats and dogs in the building. I miss the companionship of having a pet in the house, and today I found a loophole in the rules.
The house rules do not expressly state that you cannot harbor non-airborne birds in the building. With this knowledge in hand, I found myself in the country preparing myself to take on the man...
Here is my new Emu. Isn't he grand! I call him Leroy and he is going to live with me in my condo. I didn't do much research, but the people at the discount Emu farm tell me he's a great indoor bird. He eats pizza, uses the toilet, and is trained to fetch the mail. I am looking forward to many happy years with Leroy.
If you haven't figured out that I'm making this up, I will now spill the beans. I found this site with great stock photos free for the taking. If you need a photo for something I recommend you check it out.

i don't care if it is a joke. i think leroy is grand. a fine pet. congrats.
Your pet sort of looks like an elderly turtle with shaggy hair and legs. Gonna be interesting to see what kind of cage you keep Leroy in which you're at work.
But I know you'll figure it out..........
