e-scam

February 5th, 2004

Are you an e-sucker for an e-scam? BankRate.com has a great quiz to see if you know what your doing when your online.

The information superhighway is full of potholes for the naive or new-to-the-net. The world-accessibility of the Internet means that you can learn a lot, find great bargains or get taken by a nameless, faceless, untraceable criminal. Test your Internet savvy with this quiz.

I got question #4 wrong. I never knew about this one, but I don't really care either, I accept Pay-Pal and never get cashier's checks from my eBay auctions.

That's pretty good. Only 1 wrong… 90%… I get an A!

Okay, I got an 80% but that's because I figured if the e-mail was from you, you already checked the headers to see that it actually came from you and weren't just going on the basis of the from line that showed up in you email program. I think I overthought that one.

i got a 90%, too. what a dummy though. i missed #4 for the same reason as you even though i was reading it more closely than the others because of his post. that's what i get for over-thinking. i coulda been a contender. :-( t
