Great choices, but I absolutely love the bed. So may I be the first to sign up to get you the headboard for your birthday?

    Let me know....Mom

golly, thanks. that's a very sweet list. i can tell you that the silpat is worth the money. we have one and love it. what's up with the baker's gloves? can you put pots out of the oven with them? also, the link to the headboard just took me to west elm's front page, not to the headboard itself. toodles.

it seems like you are really feeling the need to salt and pepper your food in many ways. why?

ya know, you could probably get most of these things on amazon, which has a great wish list feature that you could utilize to keep your desires current, even when your birthday is not weeks away.

The oven gloves are just like oven mits, but they have fingers! This is favorite item on the list, and only 6 bucks.

You can get some of them on Amazon, but I have conveniently searched out the best prices with froogle.

that sounds good in theory, but froogle missed:

the silpat on amazon's only $12.99

Are you going to not write anything new until you get all the items on your wishlist, including the many salt and pepper shakers? Also, I saw a cool salt and pepper grinder at the cooking.com web site by chef'n. It's both in one (Stainless Steel Dual Grinder
    by Chef'n).
