Discount Refurbished TiVo

TiVo is offering discounted "factory renewed" TiVo Series 2 units for $99 (40 hours) and $199 (80 hours)*. I am down. I have been dyeing to get one for the bedroom and I'm gonna get a 40 hour unit. My current 80 hours in the living room is great 'cause I do most of my watching on the couch, but when bedtime rolls around I need to be able to continue my TV watching fun. I can get the HMO for $49 on the second unit and send whatever I'm watching to the bedroom at a reasonable hour and retire without having to watch (sigh) regular TV.

   So I'm guessing the "40" is the number of hours it records.

   Go for it....you'll enjoy every minute. And you deserve it.

   i wouldn't go so far as to say that you "deserve" it -- because who really "deserves" anything in this world? however, i would say that you make better use out of your living room tivo than anyone else i know, so why not get the second tivo and let tivo enjoy more of YOU -- rather than thinking that you'll be getting to enjoy more of TIVO.

   also, tara and i have a couple-friend, and the wife was so fed up with her hubby's tivo-ing habits, that she made him get his own tivo for their bedroom. funny, huh?
