Netflix Saga Continues
August 11th, 2004
In case you missed it, Becky found my post about my Netflix cancellation issues and mentioned it on her blog. She says that she has the same problems that I do with people confusing our sites for the official Netflix site... poor confused surfers.
Becky is obviously a huge Netflix fan and I never meant any ill will against Netflix or it's subscribers. In fact, I love the service and tell everyone about it, the service just didn't work for me
By the way, I didn't mention it before, but did you notice that even with the big red disclaimer on the page "Bob" tried to sign up for an account!

dclal, there's a sad/disgusting/amusing story about a woman so large that her skin fused to the sofa she had not left in 6 years. here's the blog site (the story is a few entries down):

it looks like you got out just in time: http://www.usatoday.com/money/media/2004-08-10-video_x.htm now that blockbuster is trying to move into netflix's territory, you might get offered some "sweet" deals to return to netflix. speaking of "sweet," you should go and see "napolean dynamite." it's absolutely hilarious. we saw it a month or two ago, and the theater was packed.
Maybe Bob was being sarcastic?
I'm a huge Netflix fan, but I understand it's not for everyone. I post about other online DVD subscription services, too. I love movies, and this method of obtaining them has made me a junkie!
i can't get the link to load, but msnbc reported on a prospective deal between netflix and tivo that would let you download movies to your tivo box. do you think that would encourage you to renew your subscription? sounds pretty neat to me -- especially since your tivo is connected via the internet, not the phone line.
